Terms of use

Effective August 11, 2026. Updated : the former disclaimer page is now part of these terms.

Informational use

The site provides general educational information and arithmetic tools. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice and does not create a professional relationship.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for verifying current law, forms, fees, deadlines, title, beneficiary designations, tax obligations, and case-specific requirements before acting.

No filing service

The site does not prepare, submit, or accept legal filings, hold funds, represent an estate, or communicate with a court on your behalf.

No warranty

The site is provided as available. Laws and court practices change, official sites can move, and calculations can be incomplete when facts are unknown.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, misrepresent the site as a government service, scrape it in violation of applicable law, or use its content to provide unlicensed legal services.

Dataset licence

The compilation, editorial notes, dataset documentation, and selection of quotations published at /dataset/, /sources/export.json, /sources/export.csv, and /sources/export.csl.json are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Reuse requires attribution to Estate Settlement Cost and, where practical, a link to the canonical dataset page.

The underlying government statutes, session laws, court fee schedules, court forms, and other official legal text quoted or cited here are public-domain government edicts or are otherwise governed by the publishing body’s own terms. This site does not claim ownership of that underlying law text and is not attempting to relicense it. The CC BY licence applies only to this site’s compilation, editorial framing, and dataset packaging.

Legal disclaimer

Results are screening information based on selected inputs and reviewed public sources. They are not a determination of legal rights, eligibility, authority, liability, or tax treatment.

The tools do not interpret wills, trusts, deeds, contracts, family rights, disputed claims, insolvency, litigation, tax elections, foreign property, business interests, or every local procedure. A review date shows when the cited record was checked, not a promise that no amendment or local practice changed afterward.

Consult the relevant court or a licensed attorney for filing and legal advice. Consult qualified tax and accounting professionals for tax and fiduciary accounting questions.

Correction reports

If you use the corrections form, send only the page, the claim you think is wrong and the public source that shows it. A report is not a request for advice, does not create a professional relationship, and may be used to correct the site. What the form stores is described in the privacy policy.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for decisions, filings, payments, missed deadlines, distributions, or professional fees based on use of the site.
